Black and white tulip tote bag – part 1

Ni har kanske förstått att jag är mycket förtjust i svart och i synnerhet i kombination med vitt.

Detta är ett annat exempel på en design som är ganska enkel, men ändå iögonfallande.

Vad jag menar med enkel är inte att den nödvändigtvis är enkel att stygnsätta eller så. Men det är bara en färg, bara linjer och det ser rent och enkelt ut – samtidigt som den är iögonfallande vacker.

Denna design är från samma Embroidery Collection - ”Mega Decor” från Husqvarna Viking – som applikationen jag använde till min väska - den som jag gjorde en syinstruktion på.

Min plan är att göra ytterligare en kasse – jag tänker inte avslöja vilken färg just nu :-) - samt dekorera kassen med denna design/accessoar.

You might have realized that I am very fond of black and especially in combination with white.

This is another example of a design that is quite simple but yet stunning.

What I mean by simple is not that it is simple to digitize or so. But it is only one colour, only lines and it looks clean and simple – yet stunning!

This design is from the same Embroidery Collection as the Appliqué design I used for the bag I made a tutorial on - Mega Décor from Husqvarna Viking.

I am planning to make another tote bag – I am not going to reveal the colour yet :-) - and decorate it with this design.

Back fused with "Vliesofix" - fusible web

Tja, kanske "dekorera” med denna design är fel ord eftersom jag har sytt den på en bit tyg och sedan sytt på "Prairie Points".

Jag har också förberett baksidan med Vliesofix så att jag ska kunna sy fast denna tygbit på ett snyggt sätt.

För att storleken ska passa på min väska, eftersom jag även satt på ”Prairie Points” , så förminskade jag storleken en aning i 5 D Embroidery Software – med Resize funktionen.

Kanske kommer denna väska att bli mer som en accessoar än praktisk - men det kan väl också vara ett syfte för en väska.  Håller ni inte med? :-)

Man behöver ju inte nödvändigtvis ha ett maskinbroderi, man kan lika väl ha en applikation eller ett handsytt broderi (”Stitchery”) omgivet av ”Prairie points”. Nästa gång ska jag visa hur väskan blev.

Well, maybe “decorate” with this design is the wrong word as I have sewn it onto a piece of fabric and then decorated that fabric piece with “Prairie Points”.

I have also prepared the back with some fusible web so it will be easy to add to the front of the bag.

To make this embroidered and decorated piece fit the size of my bag I had to adjust the size a bit in 5 D Embroidery Software – using the Resize function.

Maybe the tote bag will be more of an accessory than practical but that is also a purpose for a bag – don’t you agree? :-)

Next time I will show you the result and how to add an embroidery like this to a bag. You don’t even have to use an embroidery like this one - you can do something similar with appliqué or hand embroidery (Stitchery) and then add the “Prairie Points”.
