Detta
är vad jag har gjort och som jag tänkte visa er. Det har blivit lite av ett
experiment som ni kommer att förstå så småningom – men väldigt roligt och
kreativt.
Min
tanke för detta projekt var följande:
Vår - helhetsintrycket
Blommor - ett
broderi i form av en blomma
Blad - blad
är ju gröna så det får hängaren vara
De
”broderier/designs” jag använt är från ett kort jag visat er
här i bloggen förut - nämligen ”# 245 Decorative Edgework” från Husqvarna Viking.
I
denna ”Embroidery Collection” finns många olika typer av designs som är avsedda
framför allt för ”kantavslutningar”. Men som så många gånger förut väljer jag
att se ”utanför det användningsområdet” och då kan det bli något helt annat.
This is what I
have done and that I intend to show you. It has become something of an
experiment which you will understand later on - but very fun and creative.
My ideas for this
project were:
Spring - the
overall impression
Flowers - an
embroidery in the form of a flower
Leaves - leaves are
green - so is the color of the hanger.
The
"embroideries / designs" I have used are from an “Embroidery
Collection” I have shown you some time ago in this blog - "# 245 Decorative Edge Work" from Husqvarna Viking.
In this
"Embroidery Collection" there are many different types of designs
that are intended primarily for "finishing the edges". But like so
many times before I choose to see "outside the field of use" and then
it can be very different.
Här ser
ni handdukarna hopvikta. Tre stycken blev det. Att det blev tre olika färger
var nog inte meningen från början, det bara blev så. Jag ska förklara mer sedan.
Den
design jag fastnade för var en blomma som hade en ”handsydd look”, d.v.s. det
ser ut som om man sytt för hand med långa stygn. Detta är väldigt dekorativt.
Jag har faktiskt aldrig sytt någon sådan design förut och nu fick jag alltså
idén att göra detta på en frottéhandduk av alla material. J
I nästa
blogginlägg om "Towels with a hand stitched look" - kommer jag berätta mer om de utmaningar jag ställdes inför och hur jag
löste dessa på ett ganska kreativt sätt. Bra eller dåligt?
Ja - det
får ni avgöra själva.
Here you can see
the towels folded. I made three of them. The fact that there were three
different colors was probably not the intention from the beginning, it just
happened. I'll explain more later on.
The design I
decided on was a flower that had a "hand-stitched look" - it looks as
if it was sewn by hand with long stitches. This is very decorative. Actually, I
have never sewn such a design before and now I got the idea to do this on
a terry towel of all materials. J
In my next blog post on "Towels with a hand stitched look" - I'll tell you more about the challenges I faced and how I solved them
in a rather creative way. Good or bad?
Well - you'll
have to decide for yourselves.
